DLBA Seeks Stakeholders for Board of Directors
The Downtown Long Beach Associates Board of Directors is seeking visionary, motivated stakeholders interested in serving as representatives of the Downtown community. The DLBA Board is comprised of Downtown business and property owners who serve three-year terms and meet on the third Wednesday of the month. Board members also attend additional meetings and events as needed and are responsible for facilitating communications between the DLBA and stakeholders. Qualities of outstanding Board members include a commitment to creating the success of the Downtown in its entirety, the ability to collaborate, and the enthusiasm to champion Downtown initiatives. For more information on the current Board of Directors, please visit the DLBA Board.
This year, terms for the following areas are expiring: business areas East Village, North Pine, and West Gateway and, for property owners, Premium and Standard areas. For more information on the areas, please click here to see a map of the business districts and property districts.
Next week, all Downtown stakeholders will receive a flyer announcing that the Board is seeking candidates. For more information about serving as a Board member or the process to be a candidate, please contact Erin Murphy via e-mail at erinm@dlba.org or via phone at 562-436-4259. Please note that all candidates must submit interest forms by June 20, 2008, to be considered.
