Downtown Long Beach on the Cover of Leading Tourist Magazine

Next time you find yourself in Orange County, be sure to pick up a copy of the largest tourism magazine in the region, Welcome to SoCal. Widely known as the source for destination information for local, national and even international travelers, SoCal’s Spring/Summer edition prominently features Downtown Long Beach on the cover. Inside the magazine, Downtown Long Beach received a four-page article and photo spread, detailing the many fun and family-friendly destinations in our urban center.  And as a result of DLBA’s sponsorship of a collaborative advertising opportunity, several Downtown businesses were able to supplement the article with full-color print ads.

SoCal was recently nominated as one of five finalists for the prestigious Maggie Award at the 57th Annual Maggie Awards. It reaches affluent families and OC conventioneers with an average household income of $91,000 or more. It is highly regarded by area hotels and their guests for its in-depth articles, colorful style, great photography and state of the art maps. SoCal has a quarterly publication of 70,000 copies, leading to a per issue readership of over 210,000.
