"Nixon in China" at the Terrace Theater

8pm-  The Long Beach Opera will present Nixon in China at the Terrace Theater/Long Beach Performing Arts Center Saturday, March 20 at 8PM and Sunday, March 28 at 4PM. John Adams' Nixon in China is considered a landmark of contemporary opera. The world changed with President Nixon's 1972 visit to China, and the walls between East and West began to crumble. In this work, a profound historical event has become a mesmerizing drama filled with riveting music, striking choruses, and stunning ballets.
